Enda Walsh

1967 -

Enda Walsh is one of Ireland's most successful contemporary playwrights. He has written and performed for several theatre companies in Ireland and co-founded the Corcadorca Theatre Company in 1994. Walsh has also written for both radio and the screen. His play 'Disco Pigs' received international acclaim and won both the Stewart Parker Award and the George Devine Award in 1997. Walsh later wrote the screenplay for a 2001 film adaptation directed by Kirsten Sheridan. His later plays include 'Sucking Dublin', 'Misterman', and 'Bedbound'.
