Hilarious, brutal and tragic, Delirium is a radical re-interpretation of The Brothers Karamazov, Dostoevsky's classic and compelling tale of family rivalries. Co-comissioned by the Abbey Theatre and the Barbican, it premiered at the Peacock Theatre in Dublin on 30 September 2008 and later transferred to the London stage.
The Karamazovs are a train wreck waiting to happen. A hated father and his four sons battle it out over God, money and women - the two beauties Katerina, Mitja's fiancée, and Grushenka, the prostitute. Behind them lurks a servant, taking note of it all.
