John Minihan spoke of his long career photographing Irish writers, of his famous friendship with Samuel Beckett and the importance to him of photographing the latest wave of excellent Irish writers. The novelist Mike McCormack, one of the twelve writers featured, also spoke to the audience, underscoring the critical work done by Literature Ireland in helping him, and other Irish writers, develop a career internationally.
Literature Ireland is grateful to all the writers, translators, ambassadors, academics, cultural administrators, readers and friends who joined us for this wonderful night of celebrations.
