The Seduction of Morality
Returning from New York to her rural hometown to attend her mother's funeral, 38-year-old callgirl Vera O'Toole, the family's black sheep, is surprised to learn that she is to inherit the Grange Imperial Hotel. Equally surprised are her three siblings who unite against Vera. Aided by her old flame, the ne'er-do-well tinker Finbar, she launches her counter-attack. What follows is a hilarious entanglement in morality and double morality, masterfully recounted by Tom Murphy in this début.
