Beckett's career as a writer began with his wish to become a poet. This collection, edited by John Calder, contains many of Beckett's poems, including some of his earliest and his own translations of his French poems. It also includes Beckett's translations of French poets Bosquet, Eluard, Rimbaud, Apollinaire and Chamfort.
