Poésie irlandaise contemporaine is a bilingual anthology of Irish poetry published since 2000. The editors and translators of this volume, Jacques Darras and Martine Chardoux, provide a missing book for French readers, introducing them to successive generations of Irish poets. Their anthology begins with the most recent works by Irish poets born in the 1920s and 30s - Yeats's direct heirs, as it were - such as Thomas Kinsella, John Montague, Seamus Heaney and Michael Longley, but it also acknowledges the significance and growing number of female poets, and includes poets born as late as the 1970s.
