Howie the Rookie
Howie the Rookie was first produced in 1999 and won the George Devine Award, the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and an Irish Times/ESB Irish Theatre Award for Best New Play. In it two interlinked monologues offer a white-knuckle ride through a nightmare Dublin, where the most brutal events take on a mythic significance and black hilarity.
