After the death of their mother, the twins Louise Little and Benjamin run away from the orphanage in search of adventure. Their journey takes them to Saint-Malo, where they run into a fearsome pirate. He recognises the two tatoos on the twins' shoulders as two parts of a map that will lead him to the treasure of the famous Captain Roc - the children's father! - and kidnaps them. On board his ship the twins meet the mysterious Parabas, who offers them his help to find Captain Roc. This is the first volume in Surget's Pavillon Noir series for readers aged between 10 and 12.
