William Molyneux

17 April 1656 - 11 October 1698

William Molyneux was an Anglo-Irish writer on science, politics and natural philosophy. He was a close friend of fellow philosopher John Locke, and proposed Molyneux's Problem, a widely discussed thought experiment concerning the immediate recovery from blindness.

Molyneux was also a Member of the Parliament of Ireland.
