Vincent Banville
Vincent Banville is the creator of the detective John Blaine series which includes the thrillers Death by Design, Death the Pale Rider, Sad Song, Cannon Law, and An Accident Waiting to Happen. He has also written a series of children's books which follows protagonist Hennessy from the inaugural Hennessy to Hennessy in Africa, Hennessy Goes West, Hennessy Points the Way to the final Hennessy to the Rescue. Banville's first novel, An End to Flight, originally published under the pen name Vincent Lawrence in 1973, won the Robert Pitman Prize for Fiction and was reissued in paperback by New Island Books in 2001.
