Tomás Mac Síomóin

Tomás Mac Síomóin was born in Dublin and holds a PhD in Biology from Cornell University, New York. He has worked as a journalist, as editor of the newspaper Anois and, for many years, he was editor of the literary and current affairs magazine, Comhar. He received the 2005 Oireachtas best short story award for his collection Cinn Lae Seangáin (“The Diary of an Ant”) and the 2006 Oireachtas literary award for his novel An Tionscadal (“The Project”). His poems, stories, articles and translations from Catalan and Spanish have appeared in diverse publications.
