Timothy O'Grady
Timothy O'Grady was born in the USA and has lived in Ireland, London and Spain. He is the author (with Kenneth Griffith) of Curious Journey: An Oral History of Ireland's Unfinished Revolution (1982), and the novels Motherland (1989), winner of the David Higham award for the best first novel, and I Could Read the Sky (1997), which won the Encore award for best second novel. His most recent novel, Divine Magnetic Lands: A Journey in America, was published in 2008. His latest book, Children of Las Vegas (2016) gathers the heartbreaking stories of ten people who grew up in Las Vegas. Their stories are interspersed with short essays about the city by Timothy and portraits by highly acclaimed photographer Steve Pyke.
