Mike McCormack
Mike McCormack was born in London and grew up in County Mayo. His works include the novels Notes from a Coma and Crowe's Requiem. He has also written a short story collection, Getting it in the Head, which was voted New York Times Book of the Year and for which he received the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature. McCormack's novel Solar Bones has won various awards including the Goldsmiths Prize in 2016 and the International Dublin Literary Award in 2018. Solar Bones was named BGE Irish Book of the Year in 2016 and longlisted for the Man Booker prize in 2017. He currently lives in Galway where he teaches Creative Writing at the National University of Ireland.
