Michael Smith

Michael Smith is a freelance journalist. Using interviews with Tom Crean's daughters and grandsons along with letters, diaries of Crean's contemporaries and other previously published material, Smith created an absorbing biography of the Antarctic explorer and restored him to his rightful place in the history of polar explorations.
