Michael Collins

Michael Collins was born in Limerick and lives in Seattle. A successful long-distance runner, he began to write whilst on a sports scholarship to Notre Dame University, Indiana. He has published two short story collections, The Meat Eaters (1992) and The Feminists Go Swimming (1996), and six novels, including The Keepers of Truth (2000), winner of The Kerry Ingredients Irish Novel of the Year award and shortlisted for the Booker Prize and IMPAC award, The Resurrectionists (2002), Lost Souls (2003) and The Secret Life of E. Robert Pendleton (2007).
