Mary Stanley

Mary Stanley was born in London and grew up in Dublin where she attended Trinity College. She is a director of Argosy Books, Ireland's only independent book wholesaler, and has lived, studied and worked in England, Italy, and Germany. Stanley began writing novels in 2000 and her début, Retreat, was published the following year. She has since written six other novels, the latest of which is The Umbrella Tree.
