Macdara Woods
Macdara Woods was born in Dublin. A member of Aosdána, he has published several poetry collections, including his “Selected Poems” (1996) and “Knowledge in the Blood” (2002). His work has been translated widely and has been set to music and performed by artists such as Anuna and Bonita Hill. Woods is also one of the founder editors of the long-running literary journal Cyphers, along with Pearse Hutchinson, Leland Bardwell, and his wife, poet and scholar Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin.
