Justin Quinn
Justin Quinn was born in Dublin in 1968 and studied at Trinity College. With David Wheatley, he was a founder editor of the Irish poetry magazine, Metre. Quinn lectures in English and American Literature at the Charles University, Prague, and is a translator of Czech poetry. His first two collections of poetry - The 'O'o'a'a' Bird (shortlisted for the Forward Prize 1995) and Privacy (1999) - were published by Carcanet. UCD Press published his Gathered Beneath The Storm: Wallace Stevens, Nature and Community in 2002. Quinn has also published two collections with The Gallery Press, Fueslage (2002) and Waves and Trees (2006), his latest collection.
