Desmond O'Grady
Desmond O'Grady was born in Limerick and now lives in Kinsale, Co. Cork. He left Ireland during the 1950s to teach and write in Paris, Rome, Egypt and America where he took his doctorate at Harvard University while a Teaching Fellow there. O'Grady's poetry collections, including The Road Taken: Poems 1956-1996 and The Wandering Celt. He has also published several collections of translated poetry and prose memoirs of his literary acquaintances and friends. Desmond O'Grady is a member of Aosdána.
