Derek Landy

Derek Landy hails from Lusk, North County Dublin, and has written two screenplays for horror films. He is best known as the bestselling author of Skulduggery Pleasant, a darkly comic series for children. The first installment, published in 2007, was named a Best Book for Young Adults by the American Library Association, appeared on the Oprah's Book Club Kids Reading List, and was a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year. The second book in the series, Skulduggery Pleasant: Playing with Fire, appeared in 2008, and the third, The Faceless Ones in 2009. All three books are awaiting a film adaptation.
