Danny Morrison
Danny Morrison was born in Belfast, and was a spokesperson for the IRA and editor for a Sinn Féin newspaper. He has written scores of political pamphlets, scripts for documentaries, and a variety of publications. His novels include West Belfast (1989), On the Back of the Swallow (1995), which was written while he was in prison, The Wrong Man (1997), and Rudi--In the Shadow of the Knulp (2013). His works of non-fiction include Then The Walls Came Down (1999), based on his prison letters, All The Dead Voices (2002), and Rebel Columns (2004), a collection of his political writing. Danny has also edited a book of essays, Hunger Strike, which was published in 2006. He has also written and reviewed for the Irish Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe.
