Christina Reid

Christina Reid was born in Belfast in 1942. Her plays include Tea in a China Shop (1983), Joyriders (1986), The Belle of Belfast City (1986), My Name, Shall I Tell You my Name (1989), The King of the Castle (1999), and A Year and a Day (2007). She was awarded the Thames Television Playwriting Award for Tea in a China Cup and the George Devine award for The Belle of the Belfast City. Reid was a writer-in-residence at the Lyric Theatre and at the Young Vic and has also written for radio and television.
