Aubrey Flegg

Aubrey Flegg was born in Dublin and studied Geology at Trinity College. He did geological research in Kenya before joining the Geological Survey of Ireland in 1968. Flegg's first book, Katie's War (1997), deals with the civil war period in Ireland and won the Peter Pan Award 2000 in Sweden. Wings Over Delft, the first book in the Louise trilogy, won the Bisto Book of the Year Award in 2004 as well as the Reading Association of Ireland Book Award 2005.
