Anne Chambers

Anne Chambers was born in County Mayo and holds a Masters in History. She is a novelist, screenplay writer and biographer whose work on Ireland's pirate queen, Granuaile: The Life and Times of Grace O'Malley 1530-1603 (1979, revised 1998) has become a bestseller. In 2006, Collins Press published her version of Granuaile's life adapted for young readers as Granuaile: Sea Queen of Ireland.
