Afric McGlinchey
Afric McGlinchey is an Irish-born poet, reviewer, book editor and creative writing facilitator living in West Cork. Her formative years and early adulthood she spent in Zimbabwe. All the confluences of her world flow around the magic of words and the image. Her début The Lucky Star of Hidden Things (2012), is predominantly based around her African upbringing. Her second collection, Ghost of the Fisher Cat (2016) is set in medieval Paris, a city where she also lived for a time. Both have been widely reviewed and translated into Italian.
